TEMA: EVENTYR!

I 2026 trer vi inn i eventyrets verden! Siden musikkens morgen har komponister latt seg inspirere av sagn, legender og myter. I vokalmusikk formidles handlingen gjennom det syngende ord, i instrumentalmusikken overlates alt til lytterens indre verden. Musikalsk skal vi oppleve Narcissus' skjebnesvangre forelskelse i eget speilbilde, gåsemor som forteller eventyr til sine små - og Vivaldis årstider, stykker som er så kjente at de er vanskelig å programmere. Ragnhild Hemsings versjon med hardingfele var derimot umulig å motstå, hvor musikken lyder som Vivaldi på reise gjennom norske dalfører på 1700-tallet.

THEME 2026: FAIRYTALE! In 2026, we step into the world of fairy tales. Since the dawn of music, composers have drawn inspiration from legends and myths. In vocal music, the story is conveyed through words, while instrumental music invites listeners to create their own images. Before photography and long-distance travel, imagination filled the gaps, with the exotic being an increasingly important theme from the late eighteenth century.  In the nineteenth century, strengthened focus on national identity brought folk music into art music. European composers sought adventure in America—and in time, the United States also found its own voice.
